And thank you for the other link also, for Andrea Monda’s L’Anello e la Croce: Significato teologico de Il Signore degli Anelli. I like the title (in English, “The Ring and the Cross”).Jason Fisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05809154870762268253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9050528436539921312.post-22061705732192031252008-11-04T12:45:00.000-06:002008-11-04T12:45:00.000-06:00Thanks for the reviews..finally in Italy will be p...Thanks for the reviews..finally in Italy will be publishing a book by Tolkien with essays (?!?)from Vinyar Tengwar as can you say on Eldamar or Granburrone.com. I know any of us would move out of the way for a Pauline Baynes appreciation.

On the same note, Wayne and Christina have a remembrance of her in the issue of Mythlore currently wending its way into our mailboxes. The same issue also has an article (or checklist; I’m not quite sure) called “Pauline Baynes in Mythlore” by Janet Brennan Croft and Edith Crowe.Jason Fisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05809154870762268253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9050528436539921312.post-15570290354245456982008-11-03T19:46:00.000-06:002008-11-03T19:46:00.000-06:00Hey Jase, just wanted to let you know my review fo...Hey Jase, just wanted to let you know my review for VII has been bumped to next year (to make space for a Pauline Baynes appreciation). Like Verlyn Flieger’s expanded edition of Smith of Wootton Major (2005), it is only available from HarperCollins in the U.K. If I’m not mistaken, both books were offered to Houghton Mifflin in the U.S., but they passed on them. At least you can still get them from the U.K. — where, by the way, it appears likely that neither book will go into subsequent printings or softcover editions. Translation — I would get them now, while you can. Once the original print order runs out, they’ll most likely go out of print. Perhaps for good.Jason Fisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05809154870762268253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9050528436539921312.post-55403786915682581012008-11-03T17:14:00.000-06:002008-11-03T17:14:00.000-06:00Sorry, I meant the Flieger --Tolkien On Fairy Stor...Sorry, I meant the Flieger --
Tolkien On Fairy Stories book!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9050528436539921312.post-10457959432203754072008-11-03T17:12:00.000-06:002008-11-03T17:12:00.000-06:00Jason,Many thanks.
